Piemonte Creative Award: a tribute to the excellence of Made in Italy design

On November 27, 2024, the Castello del Valentino in Turin hosted the Piemonte Creative Award, an event promoted by ADI Piemonte Valle d'Aosta and the Turin Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the innovation and tradition of design from Piedmont and the Aosta Valley.

Among the awarded companies, Fratelli Frattini stood out with the Aline collection (designed by Marco Piva), which has been shortlisted for the Compasso d’Oro. This line of faucet fixtures blends elegance, sustainability, and artisanal tradition. Michela Frattini represented the family that owns the company. While receiving the award, she emphasized: “We believe design is a language capable of narrating who we are and where we come from, uniting beauty and functionality in every creation.”

The value of the award and the role of design in the future of enterprises

The Piemonte Creative Award celebrated around thirty companies representing diverse industries, recognizing their ability to innovate through design. The event hosted high-profile presentations, including one by Emilio Billi. Recognized as one of the fifty leading experts in Artificial Intelligence, the researcher provided insights into the strategic role of AI in the future of design for businesses. Receiving this award, part of the prestigious Compasso d’Oro circuit, confirms the vision of Fratelli Frattini: a manufacturer of faucet systems and an ambassador of the region and its values. This recognition represents a significant milestone but also serves as a starting point for new goals.

The venue: Castello del Valentino, a setting of history and innovation

Situated in the Parco del Valentino, the castle is a baroque architectural gem dating back to the 16th century. Its transformation, commissioned by Duchess Christine of France in the 17th century, turned it into a symbol of Turin’s culture, with decorated interiors featuring the famous Sala delle Rose and Sala dello Zodiaco. Today, as the home of the Faculty of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Turin, it combines history and modernity, offering an ideal setting for events that connect tradition and contemporary trends. The event highlighted the Castello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as a living representation of creativity and the innovative potential of design.

Aline and the DNA of Fratelli Frattini: a bridge between past and future

The Aline collection is a tangible example of Fratelli Frattini's commitment to innovative and sustainable design. Made from recyclable stainless steel, the line stands out for its elegant and slender shapes, blending the artisanal tradition of Lake Orta with a contemporary aesthetic. “Aline represents for us the balance between what we have been and what we aspire to become: innovative yet always connected to our roots,” stated Michela Frattini. The collection embodies the values of Made in Italy, with a particular focus on sustainability and zero-mile production, making the brand distinctive on the international stage.
